Selwyn Gerber is a California CPA and a Registered Investment Advisor. He is the founder and managing Director of Gerber & Co Inc a full service CPA firm located in Century City CA which is an independent member of the BDO Seidman Alliance. Gerber founded RVW Investing several years ago as an investment advisory firm primarily using a combination of cap-weighted and fundamentally weighted domestic and global indexes.

Mr. Gerber obtained his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees from the University of Cape Town.

 

Mo Hayat
Mohammad "Mo" Hayat brings extensive entrepreneurial, business and legal experience to Genero. Prior to joining Genero, Mo was an associate at Latham and Watkins, LLP, a premier global law firm. Mo worked on complex transactions ranging in size from 10 million to more than 10 billion dollars in the areas of capital markets, finance, corporate, land use and real estate. Representative clients included prominent wall street banks, private equity firms, casinos, large developers and other Fortune 100 companies.

Additionally, Mo has also been instrumental in helping launch a number of startup and small companies such as Amazing Taste Foods, Inc. and Mora Partners, Inc. where he participated in business, legal, marketing, public relations and financial issues. performing research and development of new products, preparing and implementing marketing and sales programs, installing manufacturing and distribution processes, implementing office systems, technology and processes and managing customer and vendor relationships.

Mo received his Juris Doctorate in 2001 from Boat Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley and graduated cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Bio-Chemistry in 1997 from Pepperdine University.

 

Matt Heyman
Matthew D. Heyman is the Co-founder and former Co-CEO of Grupo Cinemex, S.A. de C.V. In June 2002, Cinemex was acquired by Onex Corp. of Canada & Oaktree Capital Management (owners of Loews Cineplex Entertainment) for US$300 million.

At the time of funding, Mr. Heyman and his partners raised the most capital in the history of Harvard Business School. Matthew’s story is presented in Shaping the Waves, A History of Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Cineplex, he worked at The Chase Manhattan Bank as an Economic Analyst in the Economics Group. Mr. Heyman has also consulted for JP Morgan Capital Partners, as well as advised Citigroup Venture Capital on an investment in South America. In addition to being an active investor, Mr. Heyman is an Executive-in-Residence at the NYU-Stern School of Business where he lectures in the Entertainment, Media & Technology, International Business and the Entrepreneurship programs.

Mr. Heyman received his Bachelor of Science, cum laude with honors in Economics from the NYU-Stern School of Business in 1984 and his Master in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1993.
